Continue Reading is a browser extension that generates a QR code so you can resume reading the current page on another device, right where you left off. This policy explains what data is handled when you use the extension.
When you click the extension icon, the following information is sent to our server at continueread.live and stored in a database:
When the generated short link is opened (e.g. by scanning the QR code), the server also records:
We do not collect your name, email address, IP address, account credentials, or any other personally identifiable information. No cookies or tracking technologies are used.
The stored URL and text anchor are used exclusively to redirect the short link to the correct page and scroll position. Open-count data is used only for basic operational monitoring (e.g. detecting broken links or abuse).
Short links and their associated data are stored indefinitely unless you request deletion. Because no account is required, links are identified only by their unique short code. To request deletion of a specific link, contact us at the address below with the short URL.
We do not sell, rent, or share stored data with any third party, except as required by law.
Anyone who knows a short link's code can open it. Do not generate QR codes for pages whose URLs you wish to keep private.
This extension is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect any changes.
